Kindergarden Heilbronn
The design blends harmoniously between the landscape and the settlement as a radial horseshoe shape and stages the view of the landscape from Badener Straße. The structure is oriented towards the existing day care center for kids and creates a clearly defined entrance area with a connecting roof as well as a spacious forecourt for encounters.
The external development includes short-term parking facilities and rain-protected bicycle and scooter parking spaces. Inside, an open entrance area provides space for wardrobes, baby carriages and access to adjoining functional rooms such as the office, kitchen and play corridors. The group rooms are each organized with the corresponding adjoining rooms.
Exposed wooden walls, acoustic ceilings made of wooden lamella and natural colors characterize the warm atmosphere. The facade combines vertical timber cladding with corrugated metal panels and textile sun protection, creating depth in the wall.
Energy efficiency is achieved through an air-to-water heat pump, underfloor heating, decentralized ventilation systems and clay materials for a balanced indoor climate.
Fire protection measures such as fire alarm systems and short escape routes ensure safety, while noise protection is achieved through acoustic measures and sound-absorbing materials. Timber construction promotes sustainability through flexibility, CO2 minimization and recyclability, thus enabling long-term, environmentally friendly use.
